VISDA – Visual Rights Denmark

VISDA was founded in 1986 and we are the collective rights management organization representing image creators in Denmark. VISDA represents all types of image creators such as photographers, illustrators, fine artists, architects and cartoonists from both the national and foreign repertoire.

VISDA licenses the use of copyright-protected images in education, online, books, films, museums, TV, commercial uses and much more.

The Danish Ministry of Culture and the Greenlandic Self-Government (Naalakkersuisut) has appointed VISDA as the representative collective management organization with the authorization to conclude licenses with Extended Collective Licensing (ECL) effect. Under the ECL scheme, VISDA can grant licenses to image users, covering entire categories of images.

Furthermore, VISDA is appointed by the Danish Ministry of Culture to administer the Artists Resale Right scheme in Denmark on a mandatory basis.

VISDA is a non-profit organization and the collected remuneration is distributed to the image creators.
